This is school is terrible. Very discriminatory. Yes, their academics are good (if they don’t discriminate against you, if they do then you’re going to have a tough time) but it’s honestly not worth the mental and emotional strain that comes along with going to this school.
Great experience!
Love the school and it’s diverse set of people. Staff are definitely the highlight and it’s an overall good experience.
Discriminatory
The school does not care about students with mental health issues, and ignores the advice of mental health care professionals on a case by case basis. The school staff body and student body is extremely ableist and discriminatory towards neurodivergent students, physically disabled students and any other disabled students. The staff and students at the school have discriminated repeatedly against transgender individuals at the school.
I love love love my school
I love Westerford with all my heart, there’s so much to offer. Everything is so inclusive and there’s so much to do. All the teachers are truly wonderful and the learning is of the best standard. It’s truly my family away from home.
It only docks a point due to the prioritisation of academics over health. Many a time have I found myself spending hours and hours working due to the academic pressure and during exam times, it’s ensured that you have no time for yourself. The pressure can be too much to handle sometimes.

Westerford High, learning more than just academics
I am going into my fourth year at Westerford High School this year (Covid-19 permitting) and only hope that it will be as good as the past three. Westerford has provided me with a plethora of wisdom, knowledge and preparation for life after high school, through a strong network of supportive and passionate teachers as well as a community of teenagers that strive to do nothing but our best. Westerford is a place for students who wish to learn; not only about the subjects we get taught in the classroom, but also about the different cultures and beliefs of the diverse range of students that roam it's hallways. There are beautiful facilities for sport, music, art and drama, with classrooms that are well equipped to create a modern and interactive learning environment. If you would like to grow and flourish as a person, Westerford is the place for you.

The facilities at Westerford are amazing and they are truely trying to improve it every year.
Everyone feels safe at Westerford but there have been some occasions where bad things have happened.The teachers and school culture is amazing and there are activities for everyone to do no matter what your strengths are.
The only thing I can fault them on are their sports which is not the best.
I have truely enjoyed my years at Westerford so far and I can't wait to see what the future holds.
