Verulam Secondary School

This school is the worst. The teachers are lazy and dont bother doing any work. They also make fun of their students and publicly humiliate them if their marks are not good enough or if a teacher does not like them. For example one of the teachers stopped me in the hallway and made fun of me because my hair was long, she told me i looked g*y and continued to rant until i got fed up and walked away. This only got worse because the students that had seen her make fun of me started calling me g*y and i would get bullied everyday. It was also not fair because this teacher had her favourites and they would never get introubled for making fun of me.
I tried telling teachers about this but not one of them could be botherd to help me because they were to busy watching Netflix on their phones.This is normal behavior for the teachers in VSS.

There are teachers who are very biased and embarrass people by calling them names and saying hurtful stuff to them which results in other students bullying the affected students as nothing will happen. Teachers do not care about the emotional and mental impact their harsh words and actions have on the student. Bullying is a huge issue. I myself went through an issue with a group of friends bullying me and when i reported it to the teacher, she literally did not do anything because those students get good marks and put on a facade that they would never do such a thing. It happened several times with other teachers and students as well and to other students as well. Teachers are only worried about putting on a fake act that everything is all rosey and well at the school when really it isn't.

I have finished 5 years with this school its consumed with drugs and cheating. The majority of the teachers lack a work ethic and if you doing metric less then a hand full of teachers will actually help you through your final year. People cheat right up until finals and no one ever gets caught. Dont blame the students for cheating they were never prepared. Do not send your child here. I am currently in university but not through the help of my school.
