I am writing to express my deep frustration at the total lack of organisation and miscommunication my wife has had to endure at your institution.
We have invested our life savings into a school that charges a premium price and therefore should deliver a premium service. Instead, the experience has not only failed to meet basic expectations, but gives the impression that no real effort is being made at all.
Two examples make this clear:
1. *Deregistration at the start of Honours*: After paying exorbitant fees, my wife was deregistered at the beginning of her Honours year. For a full week after lectures commenced she could not reach anyone for assistance. She was eventually re-added with no apology and simply told to “catch up”, as if the institution’s error was her responsibility to fix.
2. *Ongoing failure to communicate*: There has been a repeated lack of communication regarding assessment expectations. Once again she has not been added to a specific module intended to provide guidance for her current assessment, leaving her without access to critical information.
This is not the service one expects after paying top-tier fees. The administrative dysfunction is causing undue stress and academic disadvantage.
I do not air grievances on public forums. However, if this is not resolved urgently, I can only add my voice to the growing distrust and dissatisfaction that countless others have expressed about this so-called institution.
I have no expectations as Time and time again this institution has failed to meet them. But I’m upset and I will have my voice heard. Not to sound full of myself. But watching my wife fall apart due to the actions of others will not stand.
Note this is a grievance with the online department.
You might as well flush your money down the toilet
I am a former student and I was there for a while before I realised that this institution is run like a business; not an education institution. Profits are prioritised over service delivery and student wellbeing. They preach that they care about mental health, especially student mental health, yet they treat their students as if they are inferior and the source of all the campus' problems. The reality is that their staff are incompetent; the heads of the campuses are dismissive; and they blame they students for these SKILL ISSUES. They do not care about their students; only about money. They will never resolve the bigger issues with the institution because they would rather protect their image than ever admit when they are in the wrong. Finally, their qualification is questionable. Study at a public institution. You will pay less than half the amount in fees and get a proper qualification.
A waste of time and money.
It does advertise that it specializes in psychology but they are 1. Not internationally recognized (although it says so on the internet, when I emailed the staff they said it is not) 2. There is unfair treatment when it comes to marks and handing in assignments 3. You are only on campus 3 days a week for 2 hours. Which is not how a tertiary institution should run. Personally, 2 hours a week for one module is not sufficient time for a tertiary institution.
If you are looking to pursue a psychology degree or become a psychologist, I recommend doing a general BA majoring in psychology ANYWHERE ELSE.
Trust me, I was student there for a year, luckily I was able to move before it was too late.
Where do I begin. At the moment we are the only institution that's currently still continuing with our classes and studies online during this pandemic and SACAP is the only institution that enabled their studens with 10GB data in order to help us with our workload. They are the leading institution when it comes to Psychology and the best so far. I would recommend them anytime to anyone who has a passion for helping people.
