Immence lack of camaraderie

Yesterday, on the 20th of August 2022, Table View Primary, Paarl Girls High, together with Kenridge Primary, had a tournament held on Kenridge home grounds. All visiting schools were met with hospitality and made to feel welcome. Unfortunately, Table View Primary, primarily the u/13 team, left some children and parents from both Kenridge Primary (the hosting school) and Paarl Girls High, devastated, sad and disappointed. The lack of discipline , not committing to game rules and bad attitudes were evident after numerous players of the competing schools were left in tears by Table View players. Being physical toward opponents and using fowl language during matches do not belong in any sports, even more so with children ages 12 and 13.

Toward the end of the games, players from Kendrige Primary and Paarl Girls High, refused to play against Table View as the players were so unpredictable and their attitudes so negative. We witnessed the girls from the visiting school from Paarl being in tears whilst their parents tried to console as much as possible. And all this while the players of Table View Primary were loudly mocking and rejoicing the fact that they were able to enforce their behaviour successfully. I personally saw parents trying to address this with Table View's coaches, but they too actively conducted no discipline, nor did they try to remedy the situation.

I suggest that the principle of Table View Primary, takes a good look at the mannerisms of their players and try to instill the values of camaraderie, as the reputation of Table View Primary, for both the players and coaches, proved to be lacking in discipline, structure and healthy game play! Very concerning!!

TVPS review from former student

I studied at this school from grade 1 all the way up to grade 7 and from my experience Table View Primary School is an amazing school with excellence in academics. I am now in grade 8 2022 and I could say I couldn't have made it there without the staff and my peers. I would highly recommend this school.
