Learning to fail at TVHS
Some glaring issues.
The school has a very authoritarian mindset; this is apparent with the group punishment and lack of empathy towards students. I have few good things to say for this school however I do think that when it comes to Visual Art and Design, it is of a higher quality than other schools in the area. Also the school recently got an Lgbtq+ support group which is very progressive, though this club is student ran. The teachers are a mixed bag. Some are a genuine pleasure to be taught by and others make coming to school difficult. The school cares very much for its reputation, so much so that everything feels performative. Every rule feels like its been implemented to appeal to parents rather than a genuine belief that they are there to help and protect the students. The school also has a history of racism and responding badly to cases of sexual assault.
Equality
Not a good school in my opinion. Teachers and the principle demand respect but hardly give any back. The school is also treating learners unfairly, which isn't the best example to put out there
Worst school ever
This school is homophobic and racist and sexist. I would not recommend going to this school. They refuse to change there ways. And the ********* is a rude and closed minded woman.
I don't recommend this school
There's a lot of rascism swept under the rug.Most of these teachers don't even care about the students well-being. The Counselor does a terrible job and lacks experience. The code of conduct is most definitely rascist towards black students. So much bad things have happened in this school. I don't recommend it.

racist and teachers especially principle sucks. the principle has a boss mentality and treats everyone including staff terribly. she is feared among students and actually make us avoid her all the time because she is horrible. the dress code for civvies is too strict and feel as tho they are sexualising girls by telling them what they can and cant wear. the teachers mess with your marks by giving you the wrong stuff to study and we end up writing papers with content we didn’t have to study for

TVHS IS ONE OF THE BEST SCHOOLS IN OUR AREA IT GOT THE PRINCIPLE AND TEACHERS AND OFFERS QUALITY LEARNING

However, the level of teaching and the standard of education at this school is appaling. The learning environment is one by which a student, who wants to learn, is unable to due to lack of discipline and overall respect between student and teacher.
It got to the point where I was learning more from a personal tutor than in class.
TVHS should be ashamed of calling itself a "school" when it is more like a place that limits the potential of it's learners by refusing to listen to it's pupils, and teach accordingly.
The only thing I don't regret doing at this school is making friends.
