SCHOOOL ENROLMENT

TAALNET Refusing to pay me back my money

On the 15 January 2024 I visited the Taal-net Pretoria branch with the intention to enroll my two children at the school. I was given forms to fill and i completed the form and gave them some of the documents necessary for enrolment. I paid an amount of R5300 and there was an outstanding amount of a money i still had to pay for the fees and registration to be effected. My circumstances changed and for days later I informed the school that I am no longer going to proceed with the school and in request to be refunded. I have writing emails and sent from pillar to post even to date i have not received an acknowledgement of the emails, i wrote on Facebook about the matter. they gave me a number which was forever ringing and no one was answering. I have been scammed like this especially by a learning institution.

Matric

Refuses to refund

I registered my daughter online and a few minutes later received an email to make a payment. I paid. A few days later I went to school to request uniform and stationary list. I was told they don't accept matrics, yet they sent me an email to make a payment. Every time I call, finance is not available. When I go to school they already knocked off before 14:00. I've never been scammed before but this feels like I was scammed by a big business

Taalnet Kempton Park very bad and unprofessional

Taalnet Kempton Park I wouldn't recommend this school to anyone. The quality of teaching is very bad teachers just post assignments on the whatsapp groups without explaining properly to learners in class. They are unprofessional always threatening to chase kids away telling kids that they must go to Kreft. They don't call parents in if the child did something wrong they just keep telling them they must go to kreft. Taalnet Kempton Park needs to improve on quality of teaching and conducting themselves in a professional manner and know how to speak to our kids.

Taal-Net Kempton Park Review

When I first began at this school, I wasn't really satisfied with how things were going. It just seemed unorganized. My second year there, I realized that the teaching technique was quite bland and boring, there was nothing innovative about it and students really didn't participate in class because there was no reason for them to do so.Teaching was not really taking place, certain teachers would not come for their lessons.I am currently doing my third scholar year, teachers seem more motivated this year compared to the previous academic year. There should be major changes but I believe that over time they will be happening, like currently there are some projects that are being done to change the school.

Quite a bad experience

As a student, I had to keep all my belongings close to me all the time due to the school being unsafe. Some students would come in with drugs into the school and even consume them during school hours. Tribalism was quite strong in the school, so if you weren’t a Shona speaking student, you wouldn’t be taken seriously or you’d find the teachers and general staff talking about you right in your face. Some teachers would stay for the first half of the year without any teaching material
