Sutherland High school is an excellent school! Very supportive teachers and Admin office. My son excelled at this school! Excellent sporting facilities

My daughter had an awesome 5 years at Suthies. From studies to sport to leadership, she emerged from her cacoon into a delightful, confident young lady.

Sutherland high is one of the worst, if not the worst school. Majority of the teachers take advantage of their authority and are racist and prejudice towards the students. Sutherland high is not at all a school of high prestige however some teachers act as if its the be all or end all. The discipline office is extremely rude, and at times racist towards the kids and they take advantage if they want to. Sutherland is not a school, it is a prison-w a security guard banging on the door while I'm doing my business in the toilet; to teachers taking advantage of their authority. An educator will intentionally mistreat you because they can and if you stand up for yourself they take that as disrespect immediately earning you 25 demerits. There are only a pinch of good teachers in the school who do not act like what i have mentioned above and actually teach well, however, majority of the teachers as what I have mentioned above, overrule the actual good teachers I have had good interactions with. The overall standard of the school has dropped in the past 12-15 years due to lack of passion for teaching, lack of management, non recurring training, no ways in-order to deal with students, no action taken against racist and prejudice teachers, especially in the discipline office, there has been no means to change- which creates the overall downfall of the school. Treating each student as a number with no area to be unique, to just obey, like a military school. The bullying in the school is heavy, children almost everyday in the school are targeted by kids who can take advantage of them, yet there is nothing done to stop these actions. There is a war that happens everyday at the tuck shop of kids pushing in and hurting each other just to get a snack, which makes it unsafe for younger grades to even get something. The prefects act as if they are part of school faculty and they are allowed to tell any grade what to do but at the end if the day its just a way to make them feel special, to show you did something, to get validation for it. The school is horrible and I would never recommend any parent no matter what situation they may be in to allow their kids to join this horrid school. DO NOT.

This is the worst school A child could be in, please parents do not take your child to this school, it's a school that allows bullying and doesn't care about their learners, they allow learners to bully other learners at any time. This schools should not exist in any country cause this is a bad school, a school that has one of the worst teachers and staff members, this is one of the worst schools a child can attend, do not let your child to go to this school, it's the worst school on earth. ?

This school is not good especially for african kids they get bullied and have no voice to speak up for them in my opinion its a racist school

the environment is toxic for people of color. the school's racist tactics of ignoring complaints of bullying against black kids is disheartening. don't take your child your to this school if you're a person of color.

Sad to hear about the bullying incident at this school. This must come to a stop. As professionals you tell us as parents that our kids behavior starts at home, but other kids can get away with bullying at school under your nose and now you want to act surprised when you are exposed for allowing kids to get away with bullying. You are parents too, shame on you.

The school is very racist and they promote bullying. White kids are allowed to bully black kids.

This school is a bullying enabler. Disgusting behavior, I wouldn't take my child to that school. The racism from whites in this school is on another level, teachers and learners are bullies. No thank you, shame on you.

Condones bullying and even the teachers themselves and SGB are bullies. We must find a way to close the school or better yet, change the current people who hold authority in the school. They’re failing our kids ?

My younger brother goes to the school you guys have kept him safe thank you for all that you have done and I would love for others to come experience the things his experiencing love you guys

it’s absolutely heartbreaking the way they handle bullying, their management or whoever is running the school needs to be changed. Kids are getting bullied at that school and nothing is being done about it, parents- DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE.

Honestly so sad to see what’s going on in the media and the way the school handles situations needing attention.

Absolutely despicable how bullying is swept under the carpet at this school. Would not recommend anyone waste their time having their kids at this school.
