Sutherland High School

Sutherland high is one of the worst, if not the worst school. Majority of the teachers take advantage of their authority and are racist and prejudice towards the students. Sutherland high is not at all a school of high prestige however some teachers act as if its the be all or end all. The discipline office is extremely rude, and at times racist towards the kids and they take advantage if they want to. Sutherland is not a school, it is a prison-w a security guard banging on the door while I'm doing my business in the toilet; to teachers taking advantage of their authority. An educator will intentionally mistreat you because they can and if you stand up for yourself they take that as disrespect immediately earning you 25 demerits. There are only a pinch of good teachers in the school who do not act like what i have mentioned above and actually teach well, however, majority of the teachers as what I have mentioned above, overrule the actual good teachers I have had good interactions with. The overall standard of the school has dropped in the past 12-15 years due to lack of passion for teaching, lack of management, non recurring training, no ways in-order to deal with students, no action taken against racist and prejudice teachers, especially in the discipline office, there has been no means to change- which creates the overall downfall of the school. Treating each student as a number with no area to be unique, to just obey, like a military school. The bullying in the school is heavy, children almost everyday in the school are targeted by kids who can take advantage of them, yet there is nothing done to stop these actions. There is a war that happens everyday at the tuck shop of kids pushing in and hurting each other just to get a snack, which makes it unsafe for younger grades to even get something. The prefects act as if they are part of school faculty and they are allowed to tell any grade what to do but at the end if the day its just a way to make them feel special, to show you did something, to get validation for it. The school is horrible and I would never recommend any parent no matter what situation they may be in to allow their kids to join this horrid school. DO NOT.

Horrible school !! The teachers are racist and they are bullies . The school promotes bullying and does nothing about it when reported . Please don’t take your child to this school, please please don’t

This is the worst school A child could be in, please parents do not take your child to this school, it's a school that allows bullying and doesn't care about their learners, they allow learners to bully other learners at any time. This schools should not exist in any country cause this is a bad school, a school that has one of the worst teachers and staff members, this is one of the worst schools a child can attend, do not let your child to go to this school, it's the worst school on earth. 🖕

The level of racism in this school is sickening!!!

Sad to hear about the bullying incident at this school. This must come to a stop. As professionals you tell us as parents that our kids behavior starts at home, but other kids can get away with bullying at school under your nose and now you want to act surprised when you are exposed for allowing kids to get away with bullying. You are parents too, shame on you.

Condones bullying.. Bad school!

Hierdie skool is die swakste. Hulle neem boeliegedrag nie ernstig op nie, en die personeel in hierdie skool is self boelies, insluitend die skoolhoof. As jy boeliegedrag rapporteer, kies hulle kant. As daar ‘n nul-ster-gradering was, sou ek hulle nul uit 5 gee.

it’s absolutely heartbreaking the way they handle bullying, their management or whoever is running the school needs to be changed. Kids are getting bullied at that school and nothing is being done about it, parents- DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE.

Extremely disappointed with the disciplinary system. How are our children supposed to study if they are not protected and safe.

Condones bullying and protects the perpetrator and their families while the victims are left without dignity or support. Especially if they are white.

This school perpetuates bullying , rubbish of a school , DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS THERE !!!
