Admin is extremely incompetent,

One thing about the school is that it is never boring, it it however not beneficial to actual learning. The school does not offer any weekend classes, they only offer after-school classes, learners do not attend them because they do not have the energy to go concentrate, the tuckshop menu is complete trash, learners can't even get any nutrition from the food sold, some students sell muffins/scones and drinks which are of reasonable price and actually taste like food unlike the school tuckshop that sells food that should not have a place outside a dustbin, the crazy part is that the prices of these foods do not even add up with the quality, e.g Cold Vienna in a hard bun with a drop of tomato sauce, at least I hope for R25. I'm pretty sure this is a scam from any perspective. Even the stoners there don't eat the food there. The students who see a business in selling muffins and drinks of good quality constantly get their stock confiscated but the teacher who I shall not name( Gives wet Willie's to students in between classes, puts wet mops used to clean the toilets on students faces) he is allowed to sell very small brownies at a high price on behalf of his daughter who changed schools after 1 year there, he sells without any problems from the school staff. The schools security definitely needs attention, from my personal experience I have been man handled by the block controllers, they pushed me down the stairs and forced me to take a drug test against my will after school, this made me miss the bus as I was forced to listen to a long as hell speech from the vice principal even when I tested negative on the test. They only offered me a phone call for making me miss the bus, meanwhile I had no money and my parents were out of the province. To some things up, If you are not white, you will regret your time there.

Honestly from my experience of attending at this school I would give it a thumbs down. Bullying is something that is pushed aside at this school and not taken seriously. Teachers are free to insult learners and get off scott-free. Learners are limited in terms of extra curricular activities and the tuckshop food is very expensive and not necessarily the best quailty food you will recieve. Classrooms can get very filthy and the bathrooms(mainly in the A Block) are horrendous. Children bunk class or even skip school. The wifi sucks! The design of the uniform is not eyecatching at ALL! Sending your child to this school may increase the chances of him/her suffering from mental health issues and it would just not be beneficial for you to spend thousands of rands for school fees if you want to recieve crappy service from it.

I have personally attended at this school and i must say , it is not a good school anymore, there are no promt fascilities for learners to extend their sport abilities, leraners are deprived of actually enjoying their teenage years there. The school is just a business playground now,the principal does not even show much attention to it even anymore,her focus has shifted to the other part of sunward which is privats by the way and they even have more and better privilages than the original school. In samersion the school is just trash ,my advice as a former learner there is that avoid taking your kids there,they have brighter and prosperous journeys elsewhere !!!!

The school is very good with academics but the problem is they don’t have rugby and most students in that school want rugby that’s why most students are leaving from SPHS to Elspark high due to rugby

The school is very big on academics they strive to see thier learners to do great and receive great mark's. The school protests the students at all costs no bullying is allowed in the school

Its good academicand strict school, great teachers and learner but it's hard to socialize and make friends in the school, it needs socialsing activities, like having a sports day, there's never any sports day, but on the internet it shows sports and stuff, but dnt even do it, the school has golf shirts but we don't wear them, i wasted my money buying that there no assembly I wasted money buying a blazer, there no drymacks, what the students supposed to wear doing winter

SPHS is a good school iv ternary of education and is the perfect place for your child to learn to cope with university pressure.If,however,you want your child to somehow find themselves and grow in a non-academic way,then sunward park isn't the place to take your child as the pressure can sometimes make it hard to have a social life without the grades suffering a bit.

As a student at Sunward Park High school, it's the best school. It is very balanced with leading teachers with all the subjects. The discipline is very strict and is very focused on development. They also provide interventions to boost the learners marks.
