According to me understanding of the NSC Subject Assessment Guidelines, students should be given up to six hours per day to work on their assessments. However, the students I have spoken to were only given a total of six hours spread over two days. Four hours on 16 July and two hours on 17 July.
I hope that the principal, the relevant teachers, and the school administration will address this issue and ensure that students are given the appropriate amount of time to complete their assessments, as outlined in the guidelines.
If the school truly values the wellbeing and education of its students. I hope to see this matter resolved promptly. These students have the potential to become the future of our society, and limiting the time allocated for their assessments not only disadvantages them but also undermines the quality and fairness of the education system.
I sincerely hope this issue is investigated and resolved as soon as possible so that all students receive the fair opportunities they deserve.
