Silver Oaks Secondary School

I’ve been at Silver Oaks Secondary since Grade 8, and now in Grade 10, choosing this place over Willows just because my brother went here remains the single worst decision of my life. It is easily the worst school in Eldorado Park.The infrastructure is broken down: dust and chalk cover everything, desks and chairs are vandalized, and the windows are either shattered (leaving us freezing in winter) or completely covered with drilled-on metal sheets (turning classrooms into ovens during summer). The boys' toilets are filthy, foul smelling(you can literally smell the piss feet away from the toilet), and constantly occupied by people smoking, gambling, or bunking. Teaching quality is bottom tier educators either abuse their power or have zero control over their classes, all while we’re forced to buy ugly, overpriced uniforms.While the wild chaos of 2024 has quieted down slightly back when casual fights, shootings, bunking, and mass rebellion were regular occurrences the core issues remain. The school still struggles with active gang activity, and there is a clear, frustrating racial bias where black students consistently face harsher treatment and fewer breaks than colored students.Do not come here. I would literally rather attend school inside a burning dump truck in the middle of summer than spend another semester in this place. Save yourself the misery and stay far away.

It's a very bad school, in a very bad environment...the teachers are slackers, they never give the appropriate learning accessories for exams...it's education pass rate is also terrible...I wouldn't recommend that school for anyone...even if it was the last school on earth
