The best school in the West Rand

I've been there since 2019 and the experience I've had so far is beyond fantastic. From academics to sports they're excellent. All the staff members are great, the teachers are nice and welcoming as well as general workers who you can share a good laugh with. Overall the school is great.

The best years of my life

Going to this school is like sitting by a fire. Then you realize the fire is huge and everything is on fire and you're on fire because you're in hell.

In Bono Vince

I'm a student at Randfontein high school Also known as RHS. This is one of the best schools in Gauteng West. it had a 100% pass rate for 10 consecutive years. its still one of the best schools. It was the First school in GW to go Digital back in 2014. The school is diverse and the students are all unique.

RHS Academics

This school does not care about the learners needs or the learners feeling. All they are chasing is the "100%"

Randfontein High School - In Bono Vince

Undoubtedly a school that came out of nowhere in a town in what one might call the middle of nowhere. A combination of immense creativity, smart leadership and willingness to make strategic changes at the best times puts this school head and shoulders above most institutions of learning.

Learners graduate from Randfontein High School not only with the knowledge, skills and values required in the world of work but, with the individual gusto and swagger to own their world of work and add significant value to their fields. Lauded by MEC Lesufi for their pioneering leaps in 21st century learning and ICT, the school finds itself years ahead of most public schools becoming, remarkably, full digitised within just a few years of the project commencing.

The school's commitment to the arts is embodied by their 11-year long standing annual arts eisteddfod, the Randfontein Arts and Culture Association (RACA) is the one of the largest, most prestigious and most widely engaged with eisteddfods in the country. Additionally, it is one of few select schools that offer Design, Drama, Music and Dance as subjects in the FET band.

Beyond its unparalleled successes in sports and cultural activities, top notch learning facilities and tightly nit support systems for learners in need, it is the schools culture of excellence and spirit of individual freedom that a child can best take from their experience at Randfontein High School. There's is nowhere else quite like it and anyone will be hard-pressed to replicate it.

Best years of my life at Randfontein High

Truly the best school in the west. This school has been the best ever and I've been to a number of schools. The way the teachers care about the learners is phenomenal. They never cease to check up on learners and they are always willing to help. This is a school that encourages learners to participate in anything they wish to and they provide learners platforms for that. Learners in this school have been overseas for sports, culture and even academics. Randfontein High school is a home and not just a school building, located in a quiet suburb with loads of transport facilities. I'm doing my final year this year and I do not regret my decision to come to this school, it made me realize my dream and talent. It gave me an opportunity to explore the world. It also exposes learners to various competitions and the learners always excel. This school is an awesome support system. And being the best in the west did not come easily, with a 100% pass rate for ten years and also being a digital school, it only makes sense that it is an amazing school. The only downfall is the number of learners, which are a lot, but apart from that, it is an amazing school. And I'm glad I spent my five years of my high school life here. I would recommend anyone to join this school because they will not regret their decision. The teachers are up to standard and the learners wear their uniform with pride. And our favourite lines from our principal are: if you do not hunt with us, you will not eat with us, and if you do not eat with us you die. Describing how a lion lives. And at Randfontein High school, everyone is a lion

It’s a wonderful school (but overcrowded)

I loved my time at Randfontein High. The student community was very welcoming and jovial which made going to school a lot easier. The teachers I encountered were enthusiastic about teaching and seeing us succeed academically and in extracurricular activities. It’s also really well-located, in a quiet suburb but there are many transport routes going there so finding transport should not be a problem. The school is also in the top 2% of public schools nationwide after securing a 100% matric pass rate for 10 straight years. The main downside was that the classes were often crowded since the school has a lot of learners. Otherwise, my years there were the best of my life.
