High school excellent, Primary needs work

I want to start by saying the high school teachers are excellent. They are disciplined, but they do it the right way with respect and fairness. Since my daughter moved from primary to high school, the change in her has been incredible.

She is very happy now. Her mental health has improved so much. In primary she was really struggling, and she suffered a lot of depression because of some of the teachers and the environment there. Now she comes home smiling, she talks positively about her teachers, and I haven’t heard one complaint from her. I’m also seeing real improvements in her grades ever since she started high school. The support and structure she’s getting here is clearly helping her thrive academically and emotionally.

My experience in primary was very different and very painful. There was a lot of favoritism, and discipline wasn’t handled properly. Instead of guiding the learners, some teachers would roast them and make fun of them in front of the whole class. My daughter cried almost every day because of hurtful things that were said to her. It got to the point where it felt like a teacher was trying to turn her friends against her and isolate her. That kind of environment is not okay for young children.

The contrast between primary and high school is night and day. I’m so grateful to the high school staff for creating a safe, respectful, and supportive space where my daughter can actually enjoy learning again. They’ve made a huge difference in her life.

*High School: 5/5. Primary: needs serious improvement in teacher conduct and how learners are treated.*

Happy parent (Prestige College Hammanskraal

Prestige College Hammanskraal is theee best school of choice, my kids have been Prestigians since Grade RRR and the oldest is now in Grade 7. Discipline, academic excellence and sportsmanship is some of the few things that has made me to appreciate the school and encouraged me to keep my kids in the school until they finish matric.

One of the best school in GP

One of the best schools in GP, yes they are very strict with loads of school work and heavy on the pocket. So be warned if your child is ill disciplined, they will definitely find the school horrible.

Thoughts

Good education, qualified teachers even though they care more about sports and athletics more than academics, it's not so good nor bad, low key a prison tbh

Not a quality education

Average school if your child is looking to be a professional athlete but otherwise overpriced and condescending when it comes to constructive criticism. The school prioritizes athletes (especially if they’re doing well) over non-athletes.
