Oakhurst Girls’ Primary School

Really lovely small school! Provides a nurturing, family environment but punches above it's weight in terms of what it offers and achieves in sports, music and academic excellence. One class per grade can be a blessing and a curse though - being tied to the same girls throughout and only having one teacher option. We have been lucky in having grades with classmates and parents who are, on the whole, fantastic - our girls and us as parents, have undoubtedly made friends for life! Teachers are incredibly hard-working and dedicated. Where there have been issues (and there always will be) they have been dealt with quickly and the girls do have to learn how to conduct themselves and get along.

Please spare your children from the terrible experience here. Schools handling of punishment and bullying matters are out of line. Threatening is used and favourite students are let off the hook. The head does clearly not know how the world works and should not be allowed to influence children. the broadcast of what the public sees is never the same as what is happening behind closed doors. please protect your children.
