Norkem Park High School

I am extremely disappointed with my experience at Norkem Park High School. There are serious concerns about how the school handles bullying, discipline, communication, and the wellbeing of learners.

Learners who are victims of bullying can feel as though they are being punished or suspended without the school properly hearing their side of the story or understanding the full situation. Bullying should be taken seriously, and learners should feel safe speaking up about what is happening to them.

There have also been situations where learners have reportedly been beaten, threatened, or bullied, yet parents and learners feel that their complaints are not being dealt with appropriately. We report problems, we speak up, and some learners even reach the point of crying because they feel helpless, but it can feel like nothing changes.

Another concern is the lack of confidence in the school's support system. Learners should be able to speak to a social worker or trusted adult privately without worrying that their personal matters will be shared with teachers unnecessarily.

There are also concerns about the principal's availability and presence at the school, as well as whether enough attention is being given to education and learners' academic needs.

This review is not written to attack individual people. It is written because learners deserve to feel safe, heard, respected, and protected at school. The school needs to take bullying reports seriously, listen to all sides before making disciplinary decisions, protect confidentiality, and make sure learners have a safe environment in which to learn.

We report. We speak. We ask for help. We deserve to be heard and taken seriously.

The school has change in a good way

Norkem Park High School teachers are the bullies. They do whatever they want because there is no leadership. We can't even complain at school cause they even tell/ control theirs superiors of what to do by force.

There's a teacher who mistreated my child badly at school not only him and other students when I asked.

She gives students Special Report without warning, offense nor misconduct.

Then she will write comments on behalf of another teacher without knowing.

She will take advantage of a Special Report and write comments of something every child does in class and write petty comments " Talking a lot in class while every child was talking, sleeping in class while every child who was done with his/her activity will lye on his/her hands, incomplete work while every child didn't complete work because all children say they didn't hear what page must end.

Children will say she will forcefully pinpoint them on the forehead when she's angry or give slap on them face.

This teacher phoned me to come to school as a parent saying my child doesn't do his work. When I get to school instead of explaining to me what's wrong with the child. No she shouts a child Infront of me parent and HOD.

Then then HOD disciplines the child and let the child to paste 2 activities the child was missing.

The teacher screams and say " Me I will give him zero I will make him fail". "Let me me give a Special Report". Everyone asked for what but she did it by force no one could control her.

Then she said " I'll make sure your child get suspended". And what makes me said my child is disciplined never got into trouble and other teachers vouched for him.

Norkem Park high school is the best school and all the teachers are very friendly and u get to choose your own sport #NPHS ❤❤❤❤❤

Some teachers try they're best to teach kids and make sure they understand but some just fly through a lesson the rumours about the school are all lies they are some problems with the school but not the rumours we've been told for years
