My experience at Loreto School Queenswood was unfortunately very negative. During my Grade 5 year in 2019, I felt singled out and repeatedly intimidated by the then Head of Discipline, who has since become the principal. I was frequently removed from class and spoken to in a manner that I experienced as threatening and humiliating.
My mother raised her concerns with the principal at the time on multiple occasions, but from my perspective the situation did not improve. What should have been a year focused on learning and growth became a year of anxiety and distress.
I understand that every student’s experience is different, but this experience had a lasting impact on me and remains one of the most difficult parts of my school journey. I hope the school continues to reflect on how students are treated and ensures that all children feel safe, supported and respected.
