Longmarket Girls School

Very disappointing and exhausting experience with Longmarket Girls School (Pietermaritzburg)For over three weeks, we were asked to submit affidavits and additional documents for my daughter’s application. We complied immediately each time, believing the application was being considered.
After all the paperwork and delays, the application was rejected.
If the child’s father is not listed on the birth certificate, don’t bother applying — even if he is on every other document and fully involved. This should have been communicated clearly from the start instead of putting us through weeks of unnecessary back-and-forth and false hope. To make matters worse, the admissions staff member even said, “you should apply at another school.”
