disappointing from start to finish
as a fomer student, if i could give 0/5 stars i would. the teachers... the entirety of this school is in shambles. especially the way the students get treated baffles me, it gets worse and worse each year. let me not touch on the subject of how incompetent and unqualified these teachers are... i feel so sorry for the students and i keep them in my thoughts almost everyday. the way they use christianity as a shield to block out every bad aspect of the school is crazy, please dont send your childr...

Biased admission system
The school's admission system gives preference to certain race; I live less than 500m from the school, but our daughter's application was declined for two consecutive years. The reason is always the same "no space" but every year they hand out application forms.

Overkruin needs to handle bullies better
I do not recommend this school at all when I was bullied and fought the bullies back, I was the one that got punished. And when I actually followed their rule of no physical fighting and just to report the bullies, I was called a weakling. A teacher also encouraged me to quit their subject all together. Hoërskool Overkruin
Overkruin, is a value driven school, great discipline, and the principal, is really in control. There is definitely a balance between school work, and taking a break, with alot of fun activities. The security at Hoërskool Overkruin, is excellent ! The teachers, makes an effort, to help you boost your grades, and just overall support you. But there are a few teachers, that are a bit inexperienced, in a way of teaching.
