Hoërskool Hercules

This is THE worst highschool ever. If you want your child to be good in academics and excel for further studies DO NOT send your child here. Within the full five years I've been there, the school has no order, does nothing about the tremendous amount of bullying that's encountered at the school, they can't even control their teachers. Most of my teachers would be absent for weeks and we'd have to teach ourselves til the teachers came back which would usually be about a week before tests or exams. Not to mention that one of my teachers, the male teacher that taught EGD wouldn't even teach us properly, most of the work we'd need to learn ourselves or seek answers from YouTube, also the fact that he'd let LEARNERS he was close with, mark our tests and assessments and make sexual jokes with his female learners. Teachers that weren't even qualified to teach a certain subject would be teaching us and would sometimes Google some answers they didn't have the answers to. In some classes we didn't even work at all, we would just sit in class til it ended and the only time something was taught was when the teacher was being monitored or else the would sit on their phone the whole time and when we ask them for the scope they'd just say it's everything we did in class but we barely covered anything, some teachers even encouraged bunking classes so they wouldn't have to teach. And when we would ask about the work instead of helping us they'd say "what don't you understand cause we did this" as if we're supposed to understand the work right away, the favouritism displayed for the top achievers was barely ever hidden whatsoever. The food there is horrendously bad and overpriced for such quality of food, you'd swear they're trying to poison us. The principal wouldn't even listen to some of the concerns or requests we had as learners. The concept of bag detention is also ridiculous lost it's true meaning, now teacher will give detention for not doing homework or speaking in class, unless they have a reason to be late, learners should not have their bags taken for something they cannot control, I have sooo much more to say but I will end it here, take it from someone who matriculated last year, this school had so much potential but got worse with each year

This is such a horrible school,the bullying there is tremendous,the principal is barely around but when he is ,he only focuses on the pupils hairstyles and how they wear instead of the education system ,the children are failing rapidly the amount of children in my school that want to change school is alotttt ,the classes… are falling apart rapidly the chairs are broken ,the tables are also broken, teachers hit learners for just sleeping in class
and the amount of racism there is scary ,and we have a black principal and what does the principal do about this…NOTHING
the food there is horrible the food is moldy they feed children food that’s expired ,there’s no order teachers don’t even come to classes anymore they hand out 2 weeks work and expect you to finish it within 2 days ,the sports teams are falling apart ,the netball attire is horrible the netball balls are flat ,the chess team hasn’t even been to matches ,the football team is worse they don’t even have goal posts ITS TERRIBLE PARENTS ,they can’t buy proper gears for sports but they have money for 4 buses…okay
Overall Hercules is a terrible school and has fallen apart if you’re thinking of taking your kids there DON’T !THEY’LL END UP KILLING THEMSELVES BECAUSE OF THE BULLYING THERE,THAT IS NOT TAKEN SERIOUSLY

if you want your child to suffer mentally ,take them to hercules ,but ye man thats jus t my personal experience with hercules
DONT TAKE YOUR KIDS TO HERCULES ,FOR THEIR OWN WELLBEING
STAY AWAY FROM HERCULES ,STAY AWAY I REPEAT STAY AWAY !!!
l will be back in 2 years time when lm in matric to state whether it has improved or degraded

Hoërskool Hercules is a very great school♥️ The teachers are wonderful and also the learners♥️When it comes to academics , the teachers make sure we get the best education🥺As a grade 10 learner I had to adapt to having new subjects and the teachers made it look easier and I am now enjoying those subjects♥️When it comes to sports, academics and culture we out do ourselves👌what I really love about my school we don't usually experience any bullying even if you do the teachers handle it immediately ♥️We also have free transport for Kids who stay far away from the school e.g Soshanguve, Pretoria North,GaRankuwa and Mabopane😊Our subjects10-12: English, Afrikaans, Mathematics, Maths Lit, Physical Sciences,Life Sciences, Economics, Business Studies,Accounting,Consumer Studies,Tourism, Engineering Graphics & Designs, Computer Application Technology and Visual Arts♥️

Hoërskool Hercules is a very good school and I would highly recommend it to everyone♥️

It's a good school but the problem is we change register class a lot of times and as we change register classes we change some teachers and it gets me as a student confused and I cannot concentrate on my school work

It's one of the best schools in pretoria

I am a learner at the school and I'm proud to be in the school with excellent teachers and the greatest principle one could ever have 😊
The atmosphere is filled with both black and white children who lead with integrity 🎈
