Terrible School with only money on the mind and small mind set not something you would like your child to be formed in

The school is beautiful and everything but it's almost like they don't care about us students I just started high school I still don't feel welcome the only things this school cares about is good reviews and their profile and status they want to be number 1 in a test or an exam most of the questions is stuff we didn't learn about

I won't lie I like thus school it's nice and everything but there is a lot of racism in this school what I do not like is that In our test papers or exam papers 70% of it is nothing we learned about in class I feel like we don't get taught enough and what I feel is that this school only cares about their profile and status the y want to be the best,the biggest and most beautiful they succeeded in all that but failed in educating us

Yelled at the students for showing their parents what's written on the bathroom walls. We only wanted the words to be removed.
One of the biology teachers called me stupid infront of the entire exam room for drawing a heart the correct way after she gave us a wrong drawing of a heart. They do not care about the students. They just want good reviews.

Looking from the outside in I was intrigued by the strong morals and constant activity. But after having attended HBV since grade 8 not once did I feel welcomed and accepted by the educators most of which are quiet prejudice towards black students. Very racist would not recommend, and it’s next level racism because there is zero diversity in the staff which then allows for most of the racism to go on unreprimanded its sickening and degrading to the black learners.. it also allows for the Afrikaans kids to get away with racist terroristic actions against the minority. There was a scandal that too place in July 2020 where an offensive and atrocious racial statement was written onto the bathroom wall and without it being addressed formally with an apology to the whomever it offended (black kids specifically) it was removed and not at all addressed. Many racist incidents took place before, even more ferocious. But the bathroom one I experienced first hand. Otherwise it’s scenic.
