Hamptons Primary School is the worst school in the area of Durban North.
The quality of the textbooks are so terrible. The Textbooks are beyond repairs, outdated & when questioned about the textbooks, the Principal has a don't care attitude stating that it was previous mismanagement problems & not his.
Some of the teachers have a don't care attitude & don't ever communicate with the parents when the students are struggling with the work. When questioned when the report is given its is only then that the teachers will mention the student is struggling which is too late as intervention can only be done after the student has written their exams.
Further, teachers are constantly leaving the school and students are often left with another teacher who is already dealing with their class of students until new teachers are appointed. Some teachers are sick and taking extended periods of time off to go for treatment and students are left alone during revision & exam times hence the students performance in the exams are poort as there was not sufficient time given for the curriculum to be taught.
The school from management to the principal and teachers like to preach "we are family"but when parents express their concerns or are experiencing financial difficulties, the school treats the parents & students like criminals & don't have any interest in assisting the parents and students.
I'm so glad my child is thriving in another school. I certainly do not recommend Hamptons Primary to any parent. It is surprising that the Department of Education has not investigated the School for their poor academic performance.

This school has become increasingly poorly run due to ineffective management. Teachers are treated terribly and are often let go with little notice, sometimes only a week, leaving students without teachers for weeks at a time. Leadership is rude, entitled, and unsupportive. Despite claims of extracurricular activities, they are either nonexistent or poorly run. Students are not properly prepared for future schooling, and many struggle when transferring elsewhere. Overall, it’s an unstable and unhealthy environment.

Thank you to the amazing teachers and management staff at HPS! You have gone over and above to take care and develop my beautiful boys! Your commitment and ethics are highly appreciated. Keep doing what you do best!
Hamptons school is a all rounded school. Not only do they offer the best education for each learner but they will also see to each child's needs, academically and on the sports field. They encourage each learner to explore different kinds of sports that they offer in order for each child to find the sport they most enjoy. As a parent, I know my child is in a healthy school environment with all the needed support to ensure they have the best school career any school can offer. Knowing that their entire school career from grade 1 to 12 is in good hands, helps me to focus on other important aspects when it comes to my kids lives.
Thank you Hamptons for not only giving my children the best education but also providing the support for the to reach their full potential.
Hamptons Primary School is truly a gem in our community. The dedicated staff and teachers go above and beyond to provide a nurturing and enriching environment for students. From the moment you walk through the doors, you can feel the sense of warmth and inclusivity.
One of the standout features of Hamptons Primary School is its commitment to academic excellence. The curriculum is well-structured, and the teachers employ innovative teaching methods to engage students and foster a love for learning. The school's emphasis on a well-rounded education, including arts and sports, is commendable.
Hamptons is a happy place! There is a perfect balance of high quality education, happy school experiences, culture and sport. The school is set apart by the fantastic, passionate teachers. I love Hamptons!
Hamptons Primary is truly a home away from home. We are treated more than just a client but as a part of the family. The door truly is always open.
My daughter fitted in beautiful into Grade 1. I have seen so much growth and independence with her. If you are looking for small classes and lots of one-on-one attention this is the school for you. They do interventions if they saw she was struggling with something.
I must add now with the new AstroTurf it has really improved the standard of the school. What a beautiful addition.
I am blown away.
The best school in Dbn N! My daughter absolutely LOVES her school!!!!!! The teachers and management are beyond great! They make a massive effort to give learners a happy experience!
Hamptoms primary is such an amazing environment. Your child is loved beyond words . It’s not just teachers doing a job , these teachers treat our kids as if it’s their kids . The level of education is 10/10 . I really am happy that I made a decision to let my child be apart of this amazing school . The kids at Hamptoms work very hard aswell as the teachers ..
Hamptons Primary says they are more than just a school. They are a family and I agree! When your child has finished the year and gets a new new teacher you are actually sad as a parent because your child just loves their teacher and so do you! The teachers and school always goes the extra mile! The principal is young and vibrant and she is kind and friendly and the learners love her! Hamptons Primary is a wonderful school where learners learn wonderful values, get the best in academics and just live coming to school.
