Anonymous Complaint: Learner Safety, Privacy, and Fair Treatment

To Whom It May Concern,
Learners do not have a problem with the school’s rules themselves, including the rules regarding cellphones. The concern lies in how these rules are enforced and how situations are addressed. On Thursday, 20 [Month] [Year], cellphones were forcefully confiscated, and lockers were broken into, creating fear and chaos throughout the school. Instead of calm communication and proper procedure, the manner in which the situation was handled made learners feel unsafe, disrespected, and powerless.
There is also a deeply concerning pattern of discrimination and homophobic behaviour from some educators. Black African learners who express cultural or ancestral practices have been accused of practising “witchcraft” and told that they need to be prayed for. Learners have also been referred to using derogatory terms such as “barbarians.” In at least one instance, a teacher disclosed a learner’s sexual orientation to a parent without the learner’s consent, violating the child’s privacy and trust. These actions create a hostile environment that threatens learners’ emotional well-being.
These behaviours have serious consequences for learners’ mental health, safety, and sense of belonging. Discipline and school rules should never come at the expense of dignity, privacy, or human rights. I strongly urge the school management and governing body to investigate these incidents, address discriminatory conduct, review how rules are enforced, and take immediate steps to ensure that learners’ voices, well-being, and safety are genuinely respected and protected.

Principal

The Principle is a liar and all the teachers are manipulators. There’s a swimming pool and huge tennis courts however they allowing other schools to use it and not our own girls. Teachers gossip whole day with each other. Overall the education is good but the teachers and principal needs a reality check

Former unsatisfied student

I do not recommend this school

This is not the school you’d want to send your daughter to or attend . The school is poorly run , the principal is not in control of his own school . The staff is not the best , half of the teachers do not understand the needs of students . There are huge tennis courts and a swimming pool but none of it is being utilised . Not the school to go to !
