1. communication is poor from the teacher regarding homework
2. School has no proper planning, no measures vin place for the learners to have physical education of which its very important for the learner.
3. School has no SGB to make proper planning, the water problem was a huge turn off, as i am sure there will still be issue like that in the future and i wonder if there is drinkable water as we enter term 2
4. School landline not working making it hard to reach the office in any way.
5. Printable home work is sent very late in the day, where we do not have access to the printing at all
6. What is the department of education doing to assist the school because i personally feel even the quality of education and time spent in the room is not effective.
7. There are no social activities, kids always on school uniform, nothing exciting at the school planned.
I am really not happy with the school at all.
It so great it does excellent work, my brother went in the school he didn't know English, 2 days later he was speaking perfect English. I love that school❤️. I'm also a former student, going to grade8 next year it's a great school, according to my experience, I've experienced bulling in grade 4 and I didn't report I ended up reporting an they expelled the bully after many warnings and suspensions, It handled the bulling situation great.
Glenvista primary is the worst school my kids have ever attended, they get bullied every day, the last was, one of my daughters got punched on the face by a boy, and the teachers did nothing, the teacher don’t address bullying incidents seriously, all they are good at is gossiping about parents who come to school to complain, poor infrastructure, unruly teacher and unfit to take care of kids kept in their care, incompetent teachers
Warning, don’t take your kids to that school, regrets will be the result
I cannot thank my sons Grade 3 educators enough for the love, support and commitment they have shown towards his education and overall journey in Grade 3. I have never seen my child more excited and driven about his future. It was a pleasure to be a part of the Glenvista family. We thank and appreciate you Ms Peterson & Ms Dabula ♡
Glenvista primary- worst school in the south of johannesburg
Glenvista primary is the worst school in the entire Gauteng.
After making many complaints about the victimisation of our child today we picked him up from school and noticed he had defecated in his pants. Rushing him home to get bathed and changed he stated that his teacher does not allow kids to use the bathroom after breaks.
Not only is the education at its poorest in this school, the teachers are absolutely useless and more concerned with taking selfies for Instagram and WhatsApp posts than attending to the kids.
I urge any parents who are thinking of Glenvista primary as an option to reconsider any other school.
THIS IS ABUSE ! No child should have to sit in a classroom in their own filth due to an abusive teacher!
Glenvista Primary School is bad news. Infrastructure is bad and the school principal is not even bothered.I would urge the Dept of Education to visit that school especially during rainy days, I tell you it's a nightmare. My daughter in Grade 2 has been bullied by a learning unknown to her. I have reported the matter to the class teacher but it shows that to her is not a matter of concern, she can't handle bullying or else I am taking this matter into my own hands.Believe you me I want my child out of that school or it should be closed Period!!
