Glenardle Junior Primary School

Terrible experience at this school. My child was treated poorly and abused. This school in bluff, Durban is run by a principal that doesn't care. She goes for meetings and has a don't care attitude. Doesn't even know what's going on at her school. Children are not safe there even the teachers are rude clearly don't care for the children. I had an incident recently where my child was hurt by another child and was then made to feel like he was wrong. This incident was clearly not investigated properly and I was told that my child hurt himself even though he is right handed and apparently hurt his own right index finger with a scissors- not sure how? There is definitely a lot of bullying going on in the school but the principal and teachers are too lazy to actually investigate. Worst of all they hide it and didn't inform me of anything. Kept my child the whole day suffering in pain. If his finger wasn't so badly swollen, we would not have known of this issue. he spent 3 days in hospital but the teacher thought it was a small cut so better not worry us. ( not sure who made her a doctor) My child was so scared as he was told that he was going to jail that he wet himself. He did ask to go to the toilet before going to the principals office but was denied. He was kept the whole day at school in the wet underpants and even then I as a parent was not informed about this. I found about this from the cleaner at the school 4 days later.

As a student my experience was poor. The teachers were wonderful the principal however was not. She would belittle me every chance she got, tell my mother in not so many words I wouldn't amount to anything as I had ADHD and clearly I was a lost cause. And yet- here I am living in Australia and with an beautiful family and a career as a health professional, not to mention most likely earning more money annually than Denise Whitehorn could dream of. Your bulling and the trauma you inflicted on a little grade 1-3 year old girl did nothing but show how wrong you were.
