There are teachers in this school that are racist and don't hide it on their social media and in public can't believe in 2026 this is still appropriate or condoned

In May 2025, I visited the school to inquire about a placement for my son, who is currently in Grade 8. Despite waiting hours to speak with the principal, I was met with a dismissive attitude. During our meeting, I offered to pay the full tuition for the 2026 academic year in advance. However, the principal denied my son’s application, stating that the school would not be accepting any students residing in Mooi River. Since the school term commenced yesterday, I have become aware that students from my son’s 2025 class who also live in Mooi River were granted admission. I find this inconsistency extremely unfair and would like to request a clarification regarding why my son was excluded while his peers from the same area were accepted.

Dear Peter This school has favoritism and unfair admission rejection. They first created a group of the school and I was one who was added and the next day some few parents were also added and therefore suddenly there was a rejection sms on the same WhatsApp group which shocked me from the tip of my hair to the bottom of my toes then the other sms followed a little later that invites the members on the group to attend on 18th September 2025 current Principal called meeting with rejected parents on 18h September 2025 and all he was being was arrogance to say that he called us to inform us how our kids were rejected not that how he will consider the applications and that he did not care who we were and where we come from, I felt that as a disrespect and undermining our culture, dignity and humanism. So we were called out by different schools to be alert which problems led to rejection, Firstly my child application was not there with the rest until a male personnel had to run around other tables to find it. When he came back I have noticed the the application was thinner thann have submitted, so therefore he started perusing as to show me what went wrong, 1. He was perusing non stop until I asked him 'can you find what's wrong? He then came up saying my adresss was not the samosa the form, I then declined and assured him that I gave my bank statement which conformed that, and as he was looking for my bank statement attachment he saw that I was right and he apologized and said he was reading the A4 envelope which was overwritten in Red that specify the cause of rejection which was very unfair, as I looked further in the attachments, there were few that were short and must be pulled out by them, because when I submitted the open envelope they had to check that everything on the checklist was there before I paid a R100 for application fee then the envelope was sealed in their presence. I want an appeal, I cannot be rejected unfairly like that...

I had a great academic life at Estcourt High School. Undoubtedly one of the top schools in the entire province of KwaZulu Natal.It is so exhilarating to study there.

Its an excellent school. Great outdoor activities Classroom condition are owkey.. Issue of unfairness and discrimination to girls with afros is a problem Overall its a good school
