This is one of the best English language private schools in Polokwane and one of the best vice Principals in Polokwane.
The School offers a variety of different activities
The school offers a variety of social activities. Throughout the year the school will host entrepreneurship day. The school last year had a fun concert the learners participated in.
The safety of the learners are always taken seriously and any bullying and danger to any learner is immediately delt with.
The school is a generational school some of the learners have their little brothers and sisters now passing through the school. It's well over 20 years old.
The school offers athletics, football and netball. Elica Primary school learners perform well in these spots activities.
The school is an inter house school. And does have a strong focus on academics throughout the year. It's an English medium multi Cultural school that is open and suited for a variety of different cultures. Anyone is warmly welcome. One thing is sure the longer your child stays in Elica the more proficient your child will become at speaking fluent English.
The school also offers extra classes in the afternoon for struggling learners. Free of charge.

Worse school to enroll your child
This has to be the worst school ever,
My child started with them since of grade 1 and i must say the grade 1.3 teacher (2023) is the only thing good elica had/has even my child still remember that lady and remark so good about her , but that was the end and beggining of my nightmare
And believe me when I say my chilf has gotten worse to how he was from creche to this school which is of no suprice as academically its beyond poor.
Tell me why from grade 1 to 3 they do the same homework the entire year, how is that helping them? How will they remember what they were taught in class thats if they are taught! We move from foundation phase now its even worse than before.
Since school opened my child only came back home with 3 homeworks out of 6 subjects and thats in total since school opened.
I dont know what his been taught in SS,afrikaans, Ns & tech ,life orientation. The only subject thats better is maths
I regret not taking him out when I had a chance to
Their communication is beyond poor
You just need to guess whats gonna happen next ,
No ways of communicating you just need to wait and see on social media like the rest of everyone whats gonna happen next

My Child really enjoys the place. It's friendly teachers especially the Wonderful Vice Principal is phenomenal!!
Wish they could start the high school
I wish that they could start the high school. The safety of children are really take seriously.

Best teachers in Grade 6 for 2025
My son was in Grade 6 last year and he had the best teachers. They were so helpful with all the concerns I had and handle my matter the best way possible. I saw a positive change in my son, he was excelling and it's because of their help. I love the school, the admin is very nice and I like how they handle disciplining kids. Glad I brought my son here. Grateful for the Grade 6 Teachers, you prepared my son for Grade 7

The staff are friendly and it's a very community oriented school to work for.

Staff really go the extra mile for learners. Wonderful teaching staff they truly are committed to the safety of learners. The wonderful vice principal. Excellent in handling conflict and solving problems at the school one of the best indoor house schools in Polokwane.

Great school, educational staff really takes the extra mile for the children. It's a great multicultural school truly reflective of South Africa.
Racist school
The are no discipline at the school. Illegal foreigners working there. The school is racist they just cares about money. Mentally unstable people. People come and go. The place is not accredited with Umalusi. South Africans don't matter here.
the black South African child means nothing
For the black South African child this means nothing being here the white owner only likes foreigners to be exploited. The black South African child means nothing to these people
Lack of technology
The school has gone backwards. They aren't using technology anymore. Too many old people.
The admin is horrible
Rude don't want my child to phone after school. Really rude to children
Bad teaching
I regret taking my son to Elica , yoh 😫. Since Jan none of his schoo work has ever been corrected. I'm thinking of taking him back to public school
Bad labor relations
Too many CCMA cases, labor laws are broken, Elica has a useless, racist principal, he is just a puppet to the owner. Lots of discrimination, an inability to manage.
Lack of respect for the law
Staff must buy their own stationary, cleaners their own soap. Lots of foreigners work at Elica Primary School, harrasment happens on a daily bases they frequently violate people's privacy rights, the owner calls the shots, the principal is her puppet, a real fraud, marks are cooked, umalusi and the education department has been bribed many times before, frequent constructive dysmissals appears Elica Primary School, 14 ccma cases and counting, illegal foreigners, no toilet paper in the restrooms of children or parents, sexual harrasment by staff, illegal pay deductions, the principal and the owner frequently spy on people using their social media accounts. Academic fraud is common at the school. Frequently people appear to be from the police are walking around the school looking for people.
Why elica is the waste school
It's like they teach children to smoke vape they are racist kids they are mostly in Gr6 and they are girls
Toilet paper Toilet paper where are you!
The school doesn't have any toilet paper in the restrooms so when you come to visit Elica Primary school make sure to bring your own in case you need to go for a number two
Low standards
Lack of discipline, learners aren't accepted to high schools at Elica anymore, unfriendly environment with low standards the high schools simply don't won't take Elica learners
Dysfunctional private schools
Dysfunctional private schools, poor discipline, horrible hostel, poor quality of service
Does not function
There is no discipline in the school, learners swear, fight no action is taken. Its all about money. Stay away. Lack of academic standards, racist and anti semetic.
