Dolphin Coast Pre-Primary

Only recently I learnt of an event that saddened me. My daughter told me that she was berated by this school because her child had called a black assistant at the school a cheeky monkey,a term of endearment our family use, as i'm quite sure others do. The child was bewildered, unsure of what they had done wrong. How do you even explain this to a child? Why on earth this was given any credence is beyond words. Its disgusting and pathetic how this adult assistants prejudices are put upon a little one. My suggestion would be for the school to employ more suitable assistants with open minds,a bit of common sense and who do not have massive chips on their shoulders and axes to grind! This is one of the reasons why they have emigrated. To a country where their children will not have to contend with this nonsense. To a county where they can grow , never made to feel ashamed of who they are. Thank God, my daughter will never again have to apologize for something like this or even give it head space!!
