The rose that grew in the concrete
I was a student between 1995 to 1999. All i can say is that it was survival of the fittest and yet at the same time it made us stronger and resilient comparing to generation of today. Today some of us have succeeded in life as we used the experiences to push ourselves to succeed. The teachers prepared us to pass the exams. The school produced high number of Matriculants in 1999 than other schools in the Capricon District. The school opened its doors to the kids in the township and those kicked out by model c schools were also welcomed. In today's standards, my school would not be rated at all but i hear things have improved.
Derek Kobe as a Excellent school for anyone
Derek Kobe is a great school because we have equal rights and teachers encourage us to participate better in class and other activities .
