Agape being a horrible school

I attended this school for several years, and while I can’t speak much about the primary school, my experience in the high school was extremely disappointing. From my perspective, the environment was far from welcoming or supportive. Bullying and racism were serious issues, and it often felt like these problems were ignored instead of being addressed properly.

What was most frustrating was the inconsistency in how students were treated. Some students seemed to receive special treatment, while others were disciplined much more harshly for similar situations. This created an unfair atmosphere and made it difficult to trust the school’s leadership.

Another concern was the way some staff members handled student matters. Rumours and gossip should never come from teachers, yet I witnessed situations where private matters became the subject of discussion, which was unprofessional and damaging to students.

The school also presents itself as being built on Christian values, but in my experience, those values were not reflected in the way students were treated. Respect, compassion, and fairness often seemed to be missing.

The matric system was another disappointment. Students are required to complete matric through Impaq rather than the school being registered itself, which adds a significant extra financial burden for families on top of the existing school fees.On top of this student have to have assembly on a tennis court even during winter and instead of building a hall for the students the owner keeps buying new cars. He couldn’t even build a proper classroom now everyday students must sit in a class full of ants what even is that .
The school doesn’t have a lot of extra activities but they still force students to attend even if they don’t want to .Some teachers have this tendency where they don’t teach but then go complain about the class to other people saying oh this grade is being difficult and they don’t want to listen .

Overall, I would not recommend this school based on my experience. Every school has challenges, but I believe students deserve an environment where they feel safe, respected, and treated fairly regardless of their background.

Agape is terrible stay away

As a person who has experienced both the Primary and High school I would say that it is the best option for your child if you enroll them in the primary school and take them out of the school before they reach the high because the high school of racism and teachers defending students who have discriminated students of color using vulgar language, the high school is also terrible because TEACHERS themselves spread untrue rumours about students to other students, the name of the school is a lie as it says Christian school this school is NOT Christian in any way so please stay away from this school please

Terrible.

Absolutely horrible high school
Filled with racism, which is ironic since it is a Christian school and the name agape translates to ‘love’ yet when hate is spewed towards people of colour it gets swept under the rug. The white learners call the black learners slurs and nothing gets done about it, if you want to enjoy high school I don’t recommend this school.

I wouldn't recommend agape

This school is absolutely horrible, im not sure about the primary but the high school the high school is atrocious. There's extreme bullying, HEAVY racism and the teachers like playing favorites especially with white students. don't get me started on matric, matric is done with impaq because the founder doesn't wanna register the school for matric. Impaq requires you to pay R30K on top of the school fees we already pay for agape, the racism is through the roof, white students will do whatever they want and get away with it but if a black student does it they wanna make noise and scream at us. Not too mention that they have a vendetta against class of 2026, they get accused of things they didn't do and are always getting complained about but they don't wanna do self introspection. I wouldn't recommend this school to ANYONE, please love yourself and don't go to that school, its actually an asylum but whatever .

do not recommend

I don't know much about the primary school, but the high school I don't recommend. Bullying is a serious matter an nothing is done about it, because " kids will be kids". Their grade 12 isn't registered so grade 12 is done with impaq , which is an additional 30k to schools fees, which works with SACAI which purposely fails students. They have very little activities but still force students to participate, and the owner is quite greedy in my opinion, I had a horrible experience, at this school especially in my matric year

Terrible. Disappointing.

You don't want me to get started.. do your research. About teachers. Bullying. Neglect. Screaming agape but not living it.. making children feel insecure and scared if the adult teacher was in the wrong. Won't help children with chronic illness ( parents must sign a indemnity form that they are not responsible for your child in their care even with diabetes asma or as a matter of fact anything serious.this is just an example.. nooooooooo its not)
Doesn't take responsibility for action that is unacceptable all the staff has to lie to the principal for some reason.. they are scared. They twist and turn what happened and what they said and he brush things off like it is nothing and act like you are stupid and don't know anything. He always says can i call the teacher but if you say yes he tries everything possible not to.. minimum supervision. What they stand for and what they do is two different things. It is so sad that you're child spend more time at the school and with teachers than parents and they put self doubt and break them off Infront of other children and teachers whilst they sound built them up and help our country with the leaders of tomorrow. I am so disappointed and want to apologise to everyone I recommend. Just googled this school and you will find NOTHING do you want to tell me in almost 30 years I am the first person to complain....
