Classist, snobbish and ridiculously expensive. The school motto is “it’s not a school, it’s an experience”. The truth is, it’s not a school. It’s a business.
If your child is in any way different, do not even think of this school. They will be victimised and bullied, by staff and pupils alike. As will you.
I am currently a Gr 12 student and have attended this school since Gr 8. It has changed my life completely and has had me look at things from all perspectives. The quality of life is terrific and cannot be better. It is the perfect school for learners who are different, yet it is also ideal for the great sportsman. It’s academics is some of the best in South Africa. The teachers aren’t just there to teach they there because of passion and love kids, so they look after us and ensure we are well educated. I have enjoyed the family spirit at Woodridge because it is a fairly small school it’s has been an fun experience. They have an exceptional indoor classroom but they outdoor classroom is the best in the world. It is a outdoor school and is not only driven but the conventional sports( which they are good at) but they offer cycling, rock climbing, canoeing and name any outdoor sports. This school has changed my life and I recommend it for all kids privileged enough to attend it.
