An amazing experience!
This is an amazing school. I took my son here from 7 months to Grade R,and the experience for him was incredible. He loved everything about it,the play area,the teachers and mostly the food and also all his friends. He is now in Grade 5 and turning 11 on the 29th of June. Sometimes he tells me that he misses this place and sometimes wishes he could come back. So I don’t care about what other people say,cause I know that if my son enjoyed it here then why change a thing about?
Something that you will love dearly and fearsomely
I think this is a wonderful school. I took my son here from 2013 to 2018 for crèche and pre-School,and it was the best experience of his life. Sometimes he wishes he could come back and relive what he experienced here at Smiley Kids Midrand. My youngest brother went to Smiley Kids Norkem Park in the 90s,and I’m sure that the experience for him was the same as my son’s. Thank for making this an awesome experience for my son!
Disappointing School
This has to be one disappointing school/creche ever. As parents we expect to be updated regularly on our children's development, progress and anything we need to know to help the child grow.
Smiley kids midrand has a habit of not updating parents on anything till the last minute which is when it's time to fetch reports, which does not help us as we need to tackle an issue as it arises with kids so as to help them progress. You ask a kid what they've learned on that day and they can't even tell you as a parent, i don't blame the kids as teachers in this school are changed every 2 minutes which is a big concern because the people hired to teach our kids are not even qualified teachers.
We pay R2990 every month for our kids education only for us as parents to do most of the work in teaching them at home, clearly we're just paying nannies who guard our children to just eat, play and sleep because there's no improvement on our kids vocabulary, language or even writing skills yet fun days are the main focus where they'll be dress ups and playing.
Very disappointing experience with this school. And honestly wouldn't recommend it to anyone at this point.
