Good quality of education and opportunities but they are very strict on sports options and it's a pain to get the permissions to do outside sports.
But the biggest problem is homophobic and transphobic teachers and students which there are plenty of. The school has very conservative and close minded rules about uniform and what accessories are allowed. Another big issue is the double standard with white hair and African hair they are open about what you can do with white hair and very strict on what you can do with African hair.
This school actually deserves no stars. A school whose specialty is marketing. Kingswood’s marketing department deserves a golden medal for the excellent job they do. Before going to Kingswood you would believe it’s the best place on earth. Kingswood will promise you, as a parent, the moon & the starts but will miserably fail to deliver. Personally, we’ve had experiences of children being caught with illegal drugs & coming off with almost no punishment. The punishment at Kingswood for being caught with illegal substances is the same as missing a meal in the dining hall. Kingswood stands proud for having a “no tolerance for bullying” policy but in reality, most children suffer because of a “food chain” in the school that cause certain children to get the worst of it. Kingswood never does what’s right - they do what’s popular. Don’t get me wrong, the teachers are some of the best I’ve ever seen & they have the biggest hearts, however, the school’s management takes orders from rich parents who shove the school full money. Only a few children, whose parents have power, are truly happy in the school. The rest just had to get through each day wishing their time there was over.
